A page of practice for the number 0, line by line, from tracing it to writing it alone. How to form it: Start at the top and go round to the left, all the way back to the start: a tall oval, a little narrower than the letter O. Zero means nothing at all: ask how many elephants are in the room.

Ask the child to circle their best one in each row. Looking at their own writing and choosing the neatest teaches them what a neat one looks like, which matters more than filling every space.
